hey michael..welcome..i have both sleeping problems and have no idea how to deal with either..i started out not sleeping for days at a time dr gave me ambien cr..helped at times..now i have been having the opposite effects..i can not wake up for days..i am told that i do answer the phone and get up a few times during both day and night..but have no recollection of any events...i am so groggy and drugged out that i can't think at all..been sleeping on the couch since (i think) fri or sat...and don't remember sun at all..today i couldn't even get up to get my autistic brother on the bus..he was so sweet he sat with me on the couch..trying to take care of me...made me cry.... am waiting for a sleep study but can't go until i have terry (brother) go away to camp..at the end of feb. not that i am any good for him lately or anyone...depression is getting worse..today i took 200 mgs of provigil (samples from neuro) and i still couldn't get off couch (due to pain) but at least i am awake..afraid to take pain meds don't want to go back to sleep and not wake up again...and i am taking the least amount of them that i can..i want and need to function so i can take care of terry and get back to work asap..have a mortgage to pay and food to put on the table for terry..i have no appetite at all..drinking v-8...hopes this gets cleared up soon or i will not care if i wake up or not.....hugs too us all..moonstar
