Default Television and pain

Hey everyone,
This is a note with regards to pain and blood pressure. I saw my primart m.d. who monitors all my records and communicates with my 4 other Doctors. They include my anythesiologist (lumbar nerve blocks), orthopedic surgeon, neurologist, and cardiologist. As I was in for normal screening of blood pressure and heart rate because of the vast array of meds,He asked me how I feel when I'm relaxing either reading or watching t.v. I told him my blood pressure hits the high note when I watch t.v with certain programs. He asked me like what? I told him when I watch the Buffalo Bills play my pain shoots up and so does the b.p. He told me to stop watching them. So as of Today, I'll have to watch reruns of Little House On The Prarie. What a life eh?
Hope you all have a pain free day & Night,,,mellowguy
p.s. A little humor can ease pain without side effects.

That is interesting, Mellowguy! I find the same kind of responses and have heart rate/blood pressure issues as a result of my CRPS and my meds, as well.

I find that when I watch something tense (such as childbirth show or a crime one) my pain goes up and my heart rate goes up. I guess I'll have to keep the channel on the kids shows, too!

Hah!
MG, you're too funny! But, I getcha!

Cake.... Childbirth and Crime, well, I understand the Childbirth...

Me, my pain soars when I think of Philly sports teams.
My marriages, (I did So want to be married).

So, now I watch movies like "Cape Fear", ("You Gonna Learn About Loss! Counselor!")
And, anything upbeat like that.

That L'il house on the prairie.... sounds a little gory to me!

pete

Enjoy your Sunday!

Boo! to all pain. TV should be soooooothing! I, myself feel much better after watching Desperate Housewives! (for three hours a day!)
