Default finished pre admissions, in 1 wk. I'll have pump

well,
I finished everything, went up to the hospital today (2 hr drive each way), had all the papers examined, all test results ok. ekc, etc. It's official. Next tues, dec 1. at 11.30am I will be getting my morphine pain pump trial implanted. I can't wait. I'll be in the hospital for the rest of the week. I'm hoping my iphone works in the hospital, if so, I'll keep you all posted on how it goes, If not, I'll let you know when I get home. I'm so excited.

Hugs
Mary

I want to thank everyone for their good wishes and prayers. I'm so happy to havethis family, those that wish me luck and stand by me. Hubby does, but he does it with stress as I've already had 2 failed scss. He's thinking this will be as bad as those. I, on the other hand, really feel deep in my bones that this will work and will give me my life back. I'm scared about possibly getting a spinal headache, both at the beginning and end of the trial. The needle the insert the cathert\d in has to be bigger the the cath, or there is an area for the spinal fluid to come out. When they take the cath out, there will be a small hole for the fluid to come out. I know they have to do it that way, but it is still scary as I'm a little over 2 hrs away from home. I live in Va and the hospital is in Md. Well, I need to go start to the big dinner, gotta do some prep work.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone and I know it's hard, but be thankful that we are all able to at least get to the computer and share with each other. Smile, it's easier to do than frown. and eat, eat, eat, eat. lol

Hugs
Mary

HI Mary,

You have a very positive attitude. I know that your husband is skeptical but you are the one in pain, and if there is anything that can help you then do it. I took my 16 year old daughter two times for Ketamine Infusions. You have no idea how scary that was. But, I would take her again tomorrow if her pain returned again to the level it was, it took her life from her, she is a child and deserves whatever is out there, as do you and everyone else here. You do have a lot to be thankful for. Tell your husband for me that if this works he will have you back and what a wonderful day that will be. Think positive, don't think about the headache, send subliminal messages to your head! that you will not have a headache. If you do, remember you have RSD, what's a little headache pain...I will pray for you at 11:30 a.m. on December 1st. All my love to you. have a very Happy Thanksgiving Day.

Sandy
