Trig Short Statement.

I've had rsd/tos since 83, then got divorced, because wife #1, m mother of my 2 children, didn't want to be married to a "drug addict", when Dr. S' team put me on methadone.

Ok,
Made probably the largest settlement in RSD history, and put it on the map, for all of you, or, maybe against you, I don't know.
(I spoke to the adjuster, in the FLA Keys afterwards, how weird, that he told me of this strange, NEW disease, that is going to take the Insurance Industry by Storm!) They can't do anything! The cure must happen within the statute period. And, they (the defense) can't do anything then!

I'm the guy who put the insurance industry on it's nose. Along with Dr. S. and my most excellent attorney, who's (forget it) retired now....

So, the bomb has dropped.
This is why W/C fights you so hard, they know it's a life long battle, thanks to Dr. S. my attorney and me.

(But, I put all that money into retraining my self, and wife #2 for Business). Long story.....

HUGE money went to wife #1, and I was left to raise my Son, and daughter.
I bought her out of the house. She bought a single.

Remarried, wife #2, and accident #2, brought me a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). I'm not sure, if I'm awake or not for three years, and, I'm still not sure after a decade! But, due to Altzheimer's meds, I am much better!

Today, I got in the mail, (After wife #2 had stolen me blind, all my bank acc'ts, stocks, etc. she learned how to sign my name, etc.) Vehicles, blah blah.
But, emptied all accounts, even stole my children's TOYS! Not cheap ones, I'm talking computers......etc.

Anyway today in the mail, I got a final order from the court, that she's won it all.
I'll get some chump change.
For a house that I built out to accommodate my disability, (A/C runs slowly to dehumidify, not BLOW COLD, Jacuzzi bath, all my parents heirloom furniture, like a 12 seat Pecan Dining room set, worth more than the chump change I'll get. (You can't import Pecan like that anymore), bedroom set, and TONS of my mothers antiques.
The nicest home in her family, and all the do dads that go with it.
My E-Type V-12 Jag, in the garage..

This is what we get for bein "Lazy".
The courts spit on us!

Heck, I wasn't lazy, I was sick!
Depressed.
Couldn't get an attorney to return a call. (Yes, I may sound angry, but, every, EVERY time, I finish with, "I'm not angry, I'm sorry, I'm frustrated!")

But what can ya do?

Is this justice?

This is another way that we "Lose it All".
And,*edit*
Not that I would, No Way would I let a wife win like that!

I simply pray.
That there's something I can do legally, with No Money, because I'm paying HER, close to a grand/mos.(from my PRIVATE disability) and, THAT is what keeps me from hiring good/decent counsel!
And, counsel for the disabled?
THEY CAN SCREW THEMSELVES!
ALL they did, was cost me my home, and any money I could borrow!
This town, Philly, is a total rip off, and waste of anyone's effort!

Thanks for reading,
I love all of you here.

Pete

(That's my Rant, for now)

I'm so sorry, Pete.

Please take care of yourself, and know that we are thinking of you. Do you have a therapist that you can talk to? Or can you see your old doctors that you were so fond of? Sounds like you could use some friends around for a while....

XOXOX Sandy

How can this happen? How can a healthy spouse take everything from the other spouse who is handicapped from a severe disability? Have you thought of calling or writing someone in your local media, newspaper, radio or TV? Seek out your local journalists whose niche is this kind of story. Then you should let your attorney know that his/hers lawfirm may receive some free publicity.

Pete, I'm really sorry for all u have been thru. Sometimes life sucks but then it turns a different direction. You have sure been thru the ringer but you have sure helped me(and i am sure others) with all your encouraging and knowledgeable posts. Your the one that put me in the direction of hope and researching different Drs. and not just doing nothing. Look your the pioneer for RSD/CRPS. I'm not sure what PA laws are with CRPS-if they have a statute of limitation on cure but now your making me think again-hum-do i have a good enough lawyer and will he fight like yours did. See you did it again-making me think/research instead of giving up. So although you are having a difficult time right now please remember your important here. Your friend, momof4

Hey Pete - a question for you - I cannot remember how you originally got RSD/TOS in 1983. Did you ever tell us your story? Sorry if you did, and I forget... Was it due to an accident, or from a surgical procedure? Just curious. And why have you never tried ketamine? Dr. S.'s latest study included patients that have had RSD for many years, and their relief rate was high.

Thanks for all of your help and encouragement in the past. Like so many others, I have benefitted enormously from your friendship on this board. You mean a lot to me.

XOXOX Sandy

Default Hi Pete,

When I read your story, it was so sad.

Sandy is right. Can you talk to someone about this just to help get you through it? Do you have a councellor or a Dr. you can talk to. It has to be hard on you going through this and right here at Christmas time too, adds to the sadness or anger you must be feeling about this.

I have had a bad few weeks and I have dealt with anger more then anything on this. Of course with me anymore it just makes me want to deal with the people that are in the wrong more.

I hope you can pull yourself up by the bootstraps and maybe try and find a different lawyer that might do better then this last one you had. That's a miracle in itself. It's like looking for a good Dr. but it can be done.

Yesterday, I dealt with an insulting lawyer and told him I refuse to talk to him again. I don't have much faith in any lawyer. I think they are the lowest of lowlife. To me a lawyer is someone who is missing a sensitivity chip. Not human. Now having said that, LOL, maybe you can find one that does have that chip.

Don't give up and try and look at the good things you have in life. Last week, I had to keep my mind on my boys and all of the good things going on in my life so I know you must do that too.

It's good that you have everyone here but you might need to talk to someone in person to help you get some of this heartache into perspective.

Take care of yourself.

Ada

Pete,
I am so very sorry. I still can't believe that this can happen. It's horrible how the courts, lawyers and whole justice system works they believe such lies . They hear someone is on meds and right away they have a problem. I agree though with the suggestion to seek out the media. The squeeky wheel gets the grease, right? You have been through so much it's just not fair.

You are here and that matters. You make a difference. Please hang in there and talk to us. We are here for you just as you have been here for all of us.

Hi Pete, I am so very sorry too. This does happen, way too often to good honest people. We can't count on the justice system. The various justice systems (human) have shown over the ages, we can't count on them. But we can COUNT on the creator's true justice that will bring into account all the human injustices that have ever been. Book of Revelation That is what has helped me get thru injustice, just to know all will be brought into account and settled by the ONE WHO HAS THE POWER AND QUALITIES TO BRING JUSTICE TO ALL THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.
I know you find comfort here, meditating and my faith has brought me thru some though legal times. Please know we all care for what you are going thru and are 'here' for you. Your friend, loretta with soft hugs

Hey Pete,

I'm sorry you got such news in the mail today. There is more than just insurance broken in America our justice system is broken in some areas as well. I'm sorry things didnt work out as they should have.

Take care of yourself and be strong. You have dealt with a lot and came out on top. This situation is no different.

Lean on God that's what he wants us to do in difficult times.

Thanks so Very Much for all you kind comments! I can't express what they all mean>
I will respond to the questions, but right now my hands are very swollen, I have lidocaine patches on them.
I'm vascilating between anger and depression, which is normal I suppose. I have strong faith in God, and, I'll get through somehow. It's very frustrating, because I have ALL the evidence I need, to put her out on the street. (I paid for her education, etc.)
But, she was very smart, or her lawyer was. (Used the same one my first wife did), and they both went into the legal profession (not lawyers), but enough to "know the courts".
And, by taking my $, I couldn't afford counsel.

I'll be back.

BTW, I'm sorry Chemar, that you had to edit my post!

Thanks again all,

Love,
Pete
