Allegheny Pain Management in conjunction with Allegheny Surgery Center is a freestanding facility, which provides services related to pain management. Allegheny Surgery Center provides the community and physicians with a safe and economical program whereby selected procedures requiring anesthesia may be done on an outpatient basis.

Facility Description

Allegheny Pain Management and adjacent Surgery Center are located in the Station Medical Center established in 2004; located in downtown Altoona. We are easily accessed from Interstate 99. Local airports include Altoona and State College.

Allegheny Surgery Center has 2 fully certified and accredited "state of the art" operating rooms with ACLS certified staff. Allegheny Surgery Center is contracted for other specialties including podiatry. Two comfortable waiting rooms and private consultation areas are available to our clients. Emergency medical equipment is on site. We are located less than one mile from Altoona Regional Health System's Altoona Campus and Bon Secours Campus.

The research area has dedicated secure double lock drug storage, laboratory with a - 80 degree celcius freezer, and ECG equipment. Radiology services are located within indoor walking distance. Designated monitoring workspace is equipped with phone lines and wireless internet connection.

Our research center is free to use a central IRB for all outpatient clinical trials. The Altoona Regional Health System Institutional Review Committee provides oversight for any surgical or inpatient clinical trials.
