Default You're scared and alone...

I can see it in your eyes, your scared. I'm here to chase away these tears, we can chase away these fears. This is a fight I refuse to lose. And I'll run, have a little faith in me, your scared and alone. I can hear it in your voice, you care. In this moment we're connected, if we fall we fall together. Get up, Get up!

Maybe I'm a dreamer. Maybe I'm just misunderstood. Maybe I'm crazy. Maybe I'm the only one. And maybe its just time to change and leave it all behind.

I need you to tell me that its worth it because I'm doing everything I can to fight it. Times racing. I've got to find my way out. I'm still breathing. Its hard to be a man but I'm doing all I can. I'm standing here alone trying to make this life my own. I'm still breathing.

We try to fight for what we think we believe in but I'm finding out in the hardest way the consequence of every mistake I've ever made. Some battles are better lost than won...

NOT THIS ONE!!! GET UP, GET UP!!!

Dear Snowboarder,

Keep in touch with us on this board, so that you are NOT scared and alone. There is a network of really good people here. And plenty of us are willing to help you.

You say you are from Michigan. Since I am in RI, I am too far away to be able to give you advice on medical resources. Do you have a doctor or counselor that you can call when you need one?

Who have you been seeing for your RSD? Do you like your doctor? Or do you think you need a better one? Is there someone at your school that you can ask to help you with your doctors? Sometimes the school nurse can be a great help. Or perhaps your guidance counselor, if he/she is the compassionate type, can help you make the right phone calls to find the help that you need.

NEVER NEVER give up. If you need a better doctor, find someone to help you get one.

At your age, a good pysical therapist might make a huge difference for you, if they know what they are doing. I had a great physical therapist for a year and he helped me a lot, just in thinking out my problems and getting them fixed. He was there when I had to fill out all my paperwork for ketamine applications and encouraged me to get it done. You need someone like that on your side to help you so that you are not alone.

You take care of yourself, write us back and let us know how you are doing.

XOXOX Sandy

I really only have a local doctor. I did PT but they dont take my insurance anymore so... and i cant pay for it. I went to childrens hospital in wisconsin for a bit but they were the ones who told me to do PT. I liked those docs but the ones here dont give a damn. I might be able to talk to my guidance counselor but i dont think it would help because of the small town I live in, not too many doctors here...

Thanks guys! It means alot to me that you all care. If you ever need anything I'm here to help!
With love,
Jeremy.

Heart That's MUSIC in you !

Jeremy,
Your post shows that you have music/poetry in you - it's a beautiful thing!
Also you are athletic.....nothing can take those gifts away from you.
Don't forget that OK !

I live in a small town too. But there's a BIG world out there.....

Look at yourself in the mirror and realize God made YOU for a reason....
I can't explain this pain we suffer....there's nothing logical about it...
but i DO know that you are here to make a difference in the world.
Don't forget that.

Don't let the small town 'suffocate' you and don't let the big world 'swallow' you.
This world needs more young men like you.... so, please grow STRONG in this battle YOU are part of our FUTURE !!

God Bless
Rae
