Default Hello,

Anyone get the H1N1 shot yet? I got mine tonight. I wasn't planning on it but my Dr. insisted and I didn't want to argue. I was just wondering if people that got it had any problems with it.

I start PT Wednesday for whiplash, thoracic spine injury and neck problems from the accident.

Thanks for any input on the shot.

Ada

Hi Ada, My Dr. recommended both shots, but I have never take any flu shots and because my immune system is so low, I chose not to get the shots. He did give me prescription of h1n1 antibiocs, which I took when I started feeling something. My son in law is a pilot and is all over the country, as my daughter and husband are around a variety of local people.
Wish you well- Take care, loretta with soft hugs

Hi Ada,
Dr S told me to never get a flu shot.
Dr Knobler when I recently asked, he didn't have a strong opinion either way.
Since I'm not near many kids any more, I skipped it, (and have for years).
So far, so good.

Default Hi,

Bobber, the first time I got the regular flu shot, I got the flu but my Dr. said it was a strain that wasn't included in the shot. I have been getting them for about 10 years. By the way, I'm no. 1 on the SS list, older then dirt. LOL

Loretta, the reason my Dr. had me to start taking flu shots years ago is because my immune system was so low. I was very susceptable to catching things.

Pete, I am around the boys all of the time so I don't want to give them anything but they seem to catch things on their own. Dustin was sick for a month last year and lost a lot of weight. The kids passed things around for 2 months there for awhile along with Susan and Travis. I got on them and made them get their asses in to the Dr. Susan is like her Dad was, hates Drs. I think it's because Bill and I practically lived in them the last 10 years of his life.

I would rather have the shot though then deal with the flu. I also have had the pneumonia shot.

Ada

I didnt get it and I dont think i will because with all my RSD spreading i am afraid it will cause it to get worse. Its funny as a child i never got the flu shot and never had the flu. As an adult I got the flu shot and the next season i got the flu. I have only had the flu once in my life and i am 48now. I think i'll take my chances and skip the flu shot this season. momof4
