Here is an article with some good suggestions to help us get the most out of appointments with medical professionals.

The only thing I kind of disagree with on it is listing all of your diagnoses. The reason being is that if you go in with a diagnoses sometimes the Drs. run with it instead of trying to figure out what else is going on with you. It can be an easy way out for them instead of doing test and listening to all of your symptoms and trying to find out what else might be going on. I have learned that sometimes the less said, the better.
Even my PCP has told me not to tell them my whole life story. He says to focus on what kind of Dr. I am seeing and what my symptoms are that made me come to them. I have had some to chalk everything up to one medical problem before. As I said, it's a easy way out for some Drs. Thanks though for the article. It is a good ideal to have meds and symptoms written down before you go in. Ada |

Good point Ada.
I've created a document listing my medications, alergies ect.. I'll certainly keep that in mind. Thanks.
