Default new report on pain meds cost for pump vs meds

Hi all,

Here is a news release I just received from another group. It shows that ppl with the pump cost insurance less and return to a normal life faster and cheaper then using oral meds and PT.

Hugs
Mary

PS. I also posted this on the new site for scs and Pumps.

Hi Mary, How are you doing since your surgery? Are you recovering on average scale? Are your symptoms of RSD getting better?
Take care, your friend, loretta a fellow horse lover

Loretta,

I'm doing great. I can't believe how wonderful I feel. In fact, DH has been home making sure I don't over do it. I've felt great since day 3. Day 1 and 2 weren't bad, just tired and a little sore. I'm get a little tired when I'm upright for too long, but besides that recovery has been great. Nothing like the recovery from the scs surgeries. THe only pain meds I'm on is Percocet for the surgical pain. THe rsd is still around. The drs. start you off with a low dose of meds so that they can up it slowly and find the correct level without any side effect. I've had one increase for 10%. I know I need to move up to more, but I live 3 hrs away, so I'll get my next increase March 12th. Even at this low level, the rsd pain isn't terrible. I'm so happy with the pump. Just waiting for my back to get a little stronger, then I'm off to driving and going to work part time. I've got some of my life back. it's great.

How are you doing? Keep me posted

Hugs
Mary
