Hello my friends..I hope you are having a great evening..Soon I will be traveling to Drexel to visit Dr. S... Would any of you possibly have the name and number of the hotel located conveniently near the University??? I spoke with a very helpful asst. to Dr. S the otherday but she was not able to give that info.... Much thanks..

Gentle hugz,,Kathy

Eh' could you also send along some heart wrapping words as I am afraid I am a bit nervous.... guess it is just hard when you are not feeling up to par... I know you all understand...

Hi Keep Smilin, It's understandable you are a bit nervous. What a great thing you got into see Dr. S at Drexel. I've seen information on here before. But I know you could get the info from Drexel. Hospitals always have a list, and usually close hotel give a discount to patients of the hospital.
Please let us all know how it goes and what you have done. We will all be pulling for you............The close hotels will probably have a shuttle service to the hospital and back.. You might ask about that. I always ask for a refrigerator and non smoking floor. Take care, your friend, loretta with big hugs

Hi Kathy,
I know you can talk to Carole (Dr. S secretary) and she can give you a few names of hotels in the area. Also, tell the hotel you are going to Dr. S and they should give you a discount. I don't know who you spoke to there but like someone already said she should know. I've been seeing Dr. S for over three years now and he is a great doc. He always makes me laugh as he is quite a character. Be prepared to have him and about six other interns in the room with you when he examines you. They are all great people and are learning about our monster to cure it some day. Best of luck to you. You will be fine.
take care,
kathy d

So dang nice to get such uplifting encouraging notes and information from you..I spoke with Shiela there..She was very helpful and has already sent me a letter for my insurance company... Kathy, I understand having Dr. S as your Dr. sure helps as he take such good care of us no matter what treatment plan he recommends and stands by us too...I am hoping he will be able to shed some light on my present condition and where and what to expect.. Funny but I have always wanted to skip on by the sugar coating when it comes to my RSD..I want to know the dirty details and not protect me...
Again..you are all wonderful supportive family here..I need my family!!!

Hugz to all... Kathy

Good luck at your upcoming apt. Also I would ask about patient rates at the hotel. When I went to Cleveland Clinic I got a discount for being a patient and a near by hotel.
