Yes I have the same problem. There are times i have to peel off all my clothes and then the next minute im freezing with throbbing piercing pain. I constantly wear gloves and i have to cover my feet and my arms. My pain level is bad cold or hot. So either way im screwed.

Dream - That's interesting, I recently( past few months) have been switched to methadone. I am going to ask the doc about this on Thursday at my next appt. Altough I did have this problem before switching pain meds it does seem to have gotten worse. Thanks.

Default Hi Yno

If you read up on Methadone side effects it mentions sweating. I would say other meds do the same thing also.

I still keep it around for my worst days. You have to make a decision about the sweating or the pain. I wouldn't switch the Methadone for any other pain meds.I was on it for 6 years and I got the best relief with the least side effects.

Type in Methadone side effects and you will see that sweating is a side effect of it.

Default Hi Kathy,

You are right that the RSD causes it but the meds sometime contribute to the problem.

I was able to quit using my fan at night after I went off mine. The Methadone I do believe did contribute to my sweating. Yo.u can type in Methadone side effects and you will find that sweating is a side effect of it

A: There are indeed some side effects that methadone is associated with. These are: nausea, pruritus, constipation, sedation, confusion, and respiratory depression. Flushing and excess sweating may also occur in patients who use methadone orally. If the prescription is followed properly by the patient, he wouldn't get addicted to it. Methadone is safe only when it is not abused by the patient.

Ada..

You are right in that does contribute to the sweating..Funny. I feel like we are on a big RSD experiment and I am the negative control....as without my medicine intake we can base our findings..whether it be sweating or any drug interactions... tell me that is funny right there..a built in control girl with much stubborness...

Still smilin..Kathy
