Default Doc in Central Ohio???

I have been to the Cleveland Clinic - it is a 3 hour drive. It is so painful making that drive. I have to do the driving, I don't have anyone to go with me. I go to a doc at a satellite office on the upper east side of Cleveland. I used to think she was good, but after I told her I could not afford to go into their 30 day in patient program, she has pretty much not done anything for me.

I was seeing a physiatrist (movement doc) at Ohio State, but he has been promoted and is no longer seeing patients. His office re-assigned me, but the new doc said she didn't know anything about RSD.

I have seen a Neuro locally, who did my botox shots etc... but the last time I was there, he said he doesn't believe in RSD and I must have some other problem.

I have the name of a pain doc at OSU, Steven Severyn. But, I don't know much about him. He works in the "Spine Center"...

My family doc has been the main doc treating me, but RSD has spread to more areas, and I am also worse after being in a car accident in November. I am also having a lot of comprehension problems, headaches, trouble thinking, and I would really like to go to someone who knows about RSD.

Anyone recommend anyone in the Central Ohio area?

Thanks

I have found a very good pain doc in Findlay Ohio Dr. Thomas Kindl is associated with Blanchard Valley Hospital system. He treats with things other than the over abundance of meds which I appreciate as my former doc was just a pill pusher. Good Luck and prayers that you will find a doc that is a good match for you. Thank you Lisa, for your response.

I have a few names in Columbus - Pain mgmt docs. Steven Severyn at OSU, and Bruce Massau private practice.

Severyn is in the military though, and regularly spends time where we are fighting. Last year when I called his office, he was in Afganistan, due home in Oct. The doctor who recommended him called yesterday and said he thinks Severyn is heading out overseas again soon. So that might make it rough to be his patient.

Massau does SCS - which I don't want to even try - so not sure what he can offer.

Maybe I should just stick with Clev. Clinic. Problem is it can take 3 months to get in, then a nearly 3 hour drive each way.
