I have same question as LisaM.

Even though your doc's know what meds you're on, it's good to look them up yourself on line. I was having major problems with my heart, all due to a muscle relaxant, for a year. The doc put me on heart medicine, etc. But when I discovered a side affect that even my doc & the pharmacist didn't know about, and stopped this pill, my "heart trouble" went totally away!

Hope you have someone who can help you look them up! Let us know if you don't.

Another hug,

Denise

Jo beat me to the punch. IT sounds like Cronic Fatigue Syndrome.

I have it and I slept for months like that. I just never thought I would get to where I would stay awake. I don't know how Bill stood me all of these years the way I have been without bitching all of the time.

I was told that all you can do is sleep it off. It will finally calm down or go into what I would call a remission.

When I read your med list, I just about fell out of my seat. I can't take any but I guess with what we deal with a person has to be on a lot. It could contribute to what you are going through but I would definately ask your Dr. about CFS which also goes with Fibro but not always, it's a disease in itself.

Well, NO WONDER you're tired, snookie!

Lookie here - all of these meds on your list that you take on a daily basis have sleepiness/tiredness or lethargy as a side effect:
vicoden es 5-8 (as needed) Sleepiness (sometimes goes away after use)
zanex .5 mg 2-3 x's Sleepiness is the intended outcome of this med
oxycontin 20mgs 3-4 Sleepiness OR insomnia are side effects
skelaxin 800 mgs Fatigue is a side effect
lyrica 100 mg 2-3 Drowsiness, but can go away
meclizine hcl 25 mgs Drowsiness
[Benadryl
Everyone knows this makes you REALLY tired!
prozac 60 mgs Lethargy
benadryl (as needed) Sleepiness
detrol la Patient info states not to take if you are doing something that requires you to "be awake and alert"

Also...I don't understand why you are taking vicodin AND Oxycontin, both. As far as my pain doc would be concerned, I'd be taking only one or the other.

provigil 200 mgs//(tried 100 no good)( tried 150 no good) That's okay. You are allowed to take 200 mg's. I also take this. BUT one thing I learned is that this medication has a tendency for the patient to build up a tolerance to the dose VERY easily. So it's quite possible, if you take this daily, that you've already built up a tolerance to the 200 mg dose. I'm not sure what the max dose is that you can take, but I'd check with your doctor. OR, spread the dose out. What I do is take 100 mg's in the morning, then later in the day I take another 100 mgs, so I can spread out the energy. That way I don't "crash" either.

So with so MANY of your meds having a side effect of sleepiness and lethargy....my GOODNESS it's no wonder you're tired sweetie!
