Default Some exciting news.

We don't have many happy post on here so I thought I'd post one.

Devin, now 15, and some of his Odyessy of the Minds class {drama} went to Denver a few weeks ago to compete at the state level. They had to write their own plays and then put them on. Devin's group took 2nd place and another one of the groups took first from their school.

They leave Saturday to compete Globally in Tennessee. They will compete against 49 other states and 30 Countries. They are flying down and will be gone for a week.

Susan and Travis are driving down so hopefully they will be sending me pictures. I am so excited.

I do want to ask for prayers for these kids though for them to have a safe trip down and back. Say a prayer that they win too. Wheather they do or not though, I am still excited for them.

I did put pictures in my photos of them in Denver and the plays they have done at the High School this year.

Kathy, this is why we have to keep going. For our kids and Grandkids.

Ada

Congratulations!! That is so awesome. What a wonderful way to explore the arts and have that positive influence in his life. You must be so proud. I will certainly keep him in my prayers, there is a lot of time for praying when you have to sit around a lot!! Lisa

Hi Ada,
So happy to read the uplifting news and the joy for you and your family!!
It's refreshing to hear about positive endeavors of young people..there is too often negative news in the media!
Way to go, Devin and friends!! How very excitng and creative to write your own plays and perform them!! What a great idea and outlet for budding writers and actors!
Hugs from Hope4thebest!!

That's what makes life so wonderful is to see your children or others we love succeed. I will be praying, and don't usually pray, that they do well in TN..

Wow that is neat!! I will be prayin for them fer sure!

I agree with all of ya when it comes to the reason we have to keep going. Actually if it wasnt for the grandkids I would probably not try so hard.

Kinda over did it today fixing the water heater, but my motivation was the thought of no shower/bath LOL!
