Wink RSD, degenerative disc and the like.....

Greetings. Have not been on here for awhile due to computer issues and life. Ha! Anywho, I have now had RSD for 1 and 1/2 years, almost 2. I have been told that I have degenerative disc disease due to pain in my lower back....blah, blah, blah. Anywho, I have been having pain in my legs, feet, other hand to shoulder, etc. It is bearable, but very annoying. Anyway, I am looking for a doc to talk to to give me some guidance. ANyone know of a Dr Novak and his cohorts? =) I am supposed to, maybe, see a Dr. Mammoud (sp?) from there. Anywho, don't want to waste time or money, just want some answers. Any ideas would be appreciated. Am in Cols, OH area. Thanks and blessings to you all.

Hi Suz, I am in Northwest Ohio and know about two practices in this area that deal with RSD. Who told you about the disc disease and how was it diagnosed (sorry if that is too nosy)? I have been struggling for over 8 years so I know some of what you are going through. Have a great evening and a better tomorrow, Lisa

Not nosey at all; I went to Dr Dews at the Cleveland Clinic and she thought that was what was causing the pain in my legs and feet. It is a burning pain and just needed to talk to someone who knows rsd better. She was really nice but didn't really give me any advice other than that. Kinda felt like the 2 hour trip was for nothing. I am having pain in my "good" hand and arm and am wanting to talk to someone who can give me more guidance on what is happening and what to expect. I am supposed to make an appt. with Dr Novak. Dr Pease office said if I sent my stuff he might refer me to someone but isn't taking new patients. Do you know more than that? Thanks for listening and for being "nosey." tee hee!

Hi Suz, Where in Ohio are you located? I know of several doctors in this area that treat RSD and a really good ortho practice.I believe that both of these practices are accepting new patients. I guess this is more nosy stuff and if you do not feel comfortable posting here, pm me and we can "talk" more. I have had problems for 8.5 years now, and am involved in the WC system. Hope you are having a good day, but the weather here is making for a difficult one for me. Lisa

Hi! Have found a Dr Deshponda at the neck and spine place on Polaris Pkwy in Westerville. Seems very good, but only saw once so far. =)

Sorry you didn't get anything out f visit with Dr. Dews. She is doing ketamine now. I can't afford it with the insurance I have.

The Dr. You are going to now has been mentioned to me before... But I can't remember by who or for what. It has been a while. Hope it works for you.
