I was looking back on some posts that I had made and thought updating would be great if anyone is looking. Since this post and 2011 came I applied for disabilty and within one month was accepted. I had extensive information on RSD from my pain dr. as well as my primary care dr. During the summer I had some new symptoms and my leg swelling up got out of control. I have lymphodema and I began to get open blisters that oozed clear liquid. It became so bad that the liquid would fill up my shoe and my foot would slip inside of the shoe. So I was diagnosed with venus stasis. I had been going to the pain dr and recommendation for the wound clinic kept being suggested. I was afraid to go because its RSD and I could not even imagine how I would tolerate any treatment on that leg. After several months and the blisters appearing on both legs I went to the wound clinic and in my favor the Dr was very familar with RSD. Yeah for my side. He still had to do his job but what he did do for me was convince me I needed disability and to apply for it. He said he watches me walk in from the parking lot and says of all his patients I was the most deserving. So with his treatment and suggestion SSDI is behind me and I now have medical coupons to help with treatments I need. I am so thankful as I can no longer work and get our insurance needs covered and my husband is on unemployment. Dear friends God's hand is in everything. If we keep our faith and eyes on HIM things will lead us in the right path. My earlier fear of not having any income while waiting for SSDI approval is all in the past and I am relieved. My pain level is not as high as it was when I wrote this first post, and no surgery discussion as of yet. I am now seeing the lead Dr. at my pain clinic and not the PA. Although he is nice and everything it was confusing for me to recieve the mixed messages. I have had some other health issues so have continued to be busy with Dr. appts. My love to all
