Where would we be without the support, understanding and friendship of this board..
Across the miles, I sent out a personal experience, whose details I haven't even shared with some family members..
I felt immediately understood and validated when I read your posts..
Some of you shared some very overwhelming times that continue to hurt...I hold your thoughts close to my heart....

It's so strange that we have no control over some of the involuntary functions of our bodies...with the sympathetic nerve sometimes going willy nilly and bonkers...
I guess the only two ways we can regulate is with meds and/or some kind of meditation process, which can have similar effects to the nervous system as meds...

I had the popliteal and saphenous nerve blocks yesterday ....they didn't help..aaarrrgh.. in fact they added to the flare.....guhhhhhh.
Everytime we try something and hope it might be the magic fix, we keep hoping this could be the turning point..
So I'm in that place of limbo land...trying to accept while still hoping for some improvement..
so, I'm still

Heart

Dear Hope,

My heart goes out to you always. Please know that you are in prayers. The inception of my RSD also coincided with an exceptionally stressful time in my work life, and WC has made things so much worse. But I am humbled by your loss of a sister, there is just no comparison!!

Please take care of yourself and may you be comforted by your memories,

Love and peace, Sandy

Red face

Very interesting. I to believe that the amount of pain and the way we react to it has a lot to do with the emotional ties surrounding it. I have severe headaches and post surgery pain and a vey stressful job. I was sick daily from the pain to the point I would be pulled over the side of the hwy just crying and unable to think beyond the current pain. I have now been out of work for 4-weeks and my pain levels have seem to be decreasing and the way I react is different Ican take the time to breath, rest, and heal my body. So there goes. I know that once I go back to work my stress levels and pain will again increase. I am a social worker and dea with other peoples problems all day and it is a rewarding job but very draining as well.
