Default Problem with hair on legs...

This may come across as a strange question , but here goes . The hair on my left leg (RSD spread from LUE to chest , abdomen and LLE) is very coarse . The hair is very short , but very wiry with like little barbs . The problem I am running into is the hair is shredding my sheets on the bed after a short period of time . I have put down a comforter on top of the sheets , but it is taking a beating and will need replacing before long . The leg is sensitive so long pant pajama bottoms are out of the question , or should I say I haven't found any I can tolerate . And yes I am a male , so shaving is not an option as the other leg looks perfectly fine , hair and all LOL . I realize this is sort of a strange topic , but wanted to see if anyone else had any suggestions or this problem themselves and how they deal with it . Take care !!!
