I'm about to write a letter and need a few stats that I've read in the past but can't recall where, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. There is a "pain scale" or graph named after a doctor, I believe, that shows RSD at the top of this pain graph, or nearly the top. The other is employment statistics for those with RSD. I've read it somewhere before but again can't locate it. Help on this would be greatly appreciated!

I believe that the pain scale you're looking for is the McGill Pain Index.

I'd guess that most likely the employment statistics would likely be somewhere on the RSDHope website as well.

Thanks peppermintpatty! The chart I now have but on the RSDHope website I can't seem to find info about employment. I did read somewhere that unemployment for those who have RSD is high as 70%. Thanks very much.

Jim, page 8 of this article talks about unemployment. It says a survey shows 17.4% of people with RSD work full time. Maybe this is what you were thinking of?

I think the the pain scale in called the"McGill Pain Scale" but not 100%. I don't know about statistics for work and RSD Patients but if you wondering how much you can work when you are a permanent disability it's not hours it $980 a month before they begin to deduct from you check. Hope this helps.
