Help New symptom...cracked,peeling skin

I have developed a new symptom...dry, cracked, peeling skin on the soles of my feet it's not a fungus and it doesn't really itch that bad...my rsd has spread to my feet but I would think it would be the whole foot that would show these symptoms...anyone else have this problem?

I also got turned down for my first attempt with SSDI and in a way it's good because I have developed new symptoms since I first applied that my records didn't show. I have retained a SSDI lawyer and going for it again.

Cindi,
For me, that's caused by the odd perspiration. I have it on my hands too.

I have a little ritual, after a shower, I dry my feet well, and spray them with anti-perspirant. I also use a lot of Eucerin. The real thick (rather expensive) stuff that comes in a tub. Feets are tuffies, they do a lot for us!
Good luck!

Pete

Cindi, I sure do have this. I seems like I am always using a raspy foot file and a smoothing stone. I also use Bath and Body's foot cream all of the time. It seems to work better than anything else. Even after I spent a week walking on the beach my feet were still all rough and dry. Good luck with the SSDI. Lisa

I have a homemade family lotion that works great, but I am having to use it every for hours... I wrote the recipe on Ehow, so pass it along. It make a HUGE amount and I have substituted the regular baby lotion with Johnson Night time lotion with lavender...it is very calming

Cindi -

I get the same thing, except mine were starting to split open and bleed. My pain doc sent me to a podiatrist who put me on a non-prescription 40% urea cream I apply at night after showering just before bed. It goes on like zinc oxide but really works. It's sold under the brand name RevitaDERM and a 1/4 lb. jar (2 month supply) goes for $20.
