Hi Steph, So sorry you have RSD. You will find so much support and compassion here on Neurotalk. I've had RSD 15 years and have internal RSD now. To touch my skin in stomach area is like 105 degrees. stomach is distended also. I do use cool wash cloth at times to cool down and drink cold water. I have burning in pelvic region and others on the forum write about their issues with it. There is a compounding cream- a compounding pharmacist can mix up to put on outside-I'm not sure internally, but I will do some research and write back what it is.
My RSD started following surgery with frozen shoulder, now full body. Most start with either surgery or some form of injury. I've never heard of it starting internally first. Did yours start internally or outside first?
Again, welcome to NT and hope you get some answers. Do you have a good RSD Doc with experience. RSDSA is the national organizaton for RSD. Also rsdrx.com puzzles list is a great site. A Dr. with 40 years experience has a list of 150 questions and his answers-he does talk about internal RSD on one of the questions.
Take care, one of your new friends, loretta

Hi Steph,

Nice to meet you and glad you found NT, but sorry you had to

I'm not familiar with GI RSD, but that doesn't sound too comfortable ! I hope the block continues to be successful for you !

I have diverticulosis which flares up frequently. It gets somewhat painful at times and now the pain is "pemanent". This could prove dangerous since I might not even notice a real problem.
