Thumbs Up I am making RSD bracelets

I am in the process of making Pandora/Trollbead like bracelets to sell on ebay...I had some left over orange and rhinestone beads and made my self the most beautiful RSD bracelet. These beads and charm bracelets are going for ridiculous prices on auction sites. I am planning to make team bracelets and donating a portion to charity...I have to do something with my time while waiting for my SSDI and what better way than sitting on my butt and string beads. If you want me to make you one PM me and I will give a DEEP discount to fellow RSDer's...I always have to find a way to be busy, even when I'm down.
Love to all!

I've taken up bracelet making too !

This is my standard rsd bracelet with orangy red Swarovski crystals, now I'm working on others too.

Have you read The Body Broken (Lynn Greenberg ?, I think....) ? She mentions that many chronic pain patients take up some form of crafting to try to be creative and pass the time

Now, if only it didn't HURT to do it !

I really like your bracelets...how much do you charge...I am planning on charging no less than $20 on ebay. I have tons of people asking for team and cause jewelry.

I charge $15 for the one in my pic, but prices range from $5 for stretchy bracelets with less expensive beads to $25 for a 'full' pandora type bracelet and $40 to $50 for rosary beads.

I make a lot of awareness bracelets and team items (both local pro sports and high school mascot/spirit bracelets, but have had horrible luck selling those which really has me confused as I thought they would be really popular. Hard to guage what the crowd wants sometimes !

I did a craft fair the beginning of the summer at my mom's church. She lives on Cape Cod and the local high school is the Dennis-Yarmouth Dolphins. I was a busy little beaver that week and made 30 green and white dolphin bracelets (team colors) The pain was so bad I almost didn't make it to the show ! I sold 8 of the bracelets, but each and every purchaser COMPLAINED that they were green and white, most preferred some purple beads that I had on other bracelets. People just liked the dolphin charms, but not one of them was buying it because they were from the town and supporting the local team. Ugh ! But, you know I'll make purple dolphin bracelets for next year........

Tell us what your Ebay name is when you get things up and running !

Thanks to everyone who responded...I'm not sure how long it's going to take to get everything going since we are on a tight budget and if I see beads really cheap on ebay I snatch them up, but all the local schools got wind of my bracelet and now I have at least 10 orders....my mom is going to help me and my daughter is already telling her friends at college about them...I'll let you all know soon.

In the mean time I have been watching my 2 month old grand-son and he is a joy...I hope the RSD Monster lets me keep him one more day...he just brightens my world!

Love and Prayers to all!
Cindi

Bumping because of another thread mentioning RSD bracelets

This is also my kick in the butt to get my website more presentable so I can post it in the Member's Mall. Who knows where I left my digital camera ?
