Default Upcoming 5 day Ketamine infusion - questions

Hi all,

I have my 5 day inpatient ketamine infusion scheduled for next month and would love to hear how it went for anyone else here who had it done.

I'm just really unsure what to expect and am somewhat scared of hallucinations. Having never tried any recreational drugs even when I was younger, I have no idea what it's like to hallucinate so it has me rather frightened.

I'll be going into the Hospital for Special Surgery with Dr. Richman to have it done so anyone who's either had it there or elsewhere, I would love to hear what it was like.

ALso, was your spouse or family allowed to stay overnight with you at all? How did you feel after it was over and you went home? I understand some people have some after effects from the ketamine that last for a few days.

In general, I'd just really appreciate hearing some people's stories about it. Also, I'll be starting up with the boosters in Philadelphia soon after so would like to know what that's like also, from another patient's perspective.

Thanks in advance,
Dawn
