Default Have missed my friends.

Hi Everyone!

I have not been on here for quite a while. I have checked in on occasion, but just have not had the energy to really apply myself. I've been busy with PAIN and with getting ready for my final hearing (which was last Wednesday). Also, kid leaving for Marines, kid busy with teenage life. Also, trying to sell our house and buying a boat (live-aboard) and running away to the islands.

I am wondering how everyone is? How is Bobber and Cake? How is everyone else? I have to admit, I really, really miss you guys!

If anyone wants to check-in (if you remember me...), please do!

Hugs to all!

Kim

Hi Kim

I just wanted to welcome you back and if your old friends arent here, maybe you can make new ones. I am SO sorry you have this painful illness. I have internal RSD and am mostly in bed. I miss my friends that i use to go places with and my business networks. I know what it feels like to be lonely and missing friends.

My RSD really started 19 years ago when i had my Csec with my twin girls. my pain was terrible. After self medicating for 3 years i was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia...i was crippled with it for 10 years. I had an incredible miraculous prayr healing and was healed in an hour. then in 2005 i had gallbladder surgery and i had different symptoms this time, the burning and swelling got out of control. I just was diagnosed 4 months ago with RSD and now with changing my meds i am out of pain. i use a fentanyl patch, a litle methadone and neurotin to control the pain and it is working well. I have twin girls that are 19 and at college. my hubby of 28 years stays home to take care of me. I work from home selling office supplies. I had a career doing this before i got sick so i now do this from home. I live in Leesburg VA so i am dont think i am that far away from you. I would like to be your new friend if you would like.

Tell me about you
Lori

Sorry about the pain Kakimbo. I bet the stress is getting to you like it is now with us. We will soon put our house on the market too and may move to the easternshore. That depends on several factors. So you guys may buy a house boat of some sort? Interesting. Do you think the RSD can handle it, rocking, balancing and such? The islands you refer to are they the Assateague and Chincoteague? Suzy and I were at Assateague about a month ago. Beautiful and quiet beaches, except where the visitors roam. I hope everything goes smoothly for you and your family.

Thank you all for your responses. FM - Glad to hear of Cakes' comfort. I wish I could help her along...Sorry to hear of your severed friendship with bobber. I can only pray for him and his family. Thanks for the (sad) update.

I envy you and wish I could appreciate a wonderful peaceful retreat! I see wonderful things and very intelligent insight in you. Thanks for keeping me informed.

FINZ...I always think of you. We just gave away our "FINZ", along with all our Buffett gear so we can sail away...And, YES, you are welcome anytime. We are more into Jim Morris and the whole "TropRock" thing...

Jim: I have enjoyed our friendship over the year. I think you already love the Eastern Shore, so transittioning (sp?) perhaps won't be a problem...I grew up in Annapolis (and still rub it in to non-Natives!) But, I am much happier being here on the shore where it is slower. I love the slow pace and the friendships we have made over the past years. We went to the power boat show over the weekend. I couldn't wait to get away from the crowds. (Hint, working downtown Annapolis my whole life has tainted my opinion...).

I hope you find (or have found) a great spot for you and yours. If I can help, just call me!
