Default Neck Problems,

I wanted to ask if any of you have RSD in your neck. Do you sweat really bad there and can you hold your head up?

I have a neck brace that I wear when I get to the point that I can't hold my head up and then I go in and get triggerpoint injections to help calm whatever is going on in there.

The problem I have now is the sweating. I sweat so bad on the back of my neck when I'm hot that it makes me very uncomfortable. I hurt more in other areas when I get too hot.

Last night my pilot light went out on my furnace and I didn't get cold at all. The colder I am the better I feel most of the time. I love summer but I know the heat will get to me.

I hadn't thought of this sweating being from the RSD before but I do know my right hand sweats more then my left from it.

Default Hi Linda,

I went through the final stages of menopause a couple of years back, Now I am only noticing the sweating on my neck. I cannot wear my hair down in the summer months and even in the winter I have to pin it up in the house if it's too hot inside.

It just struck me yesterday that this must be from the RSD. I saftey pin a wet washcloth around my neck at times too cool off. I use to never sweat no matter how hot I got.

Hey Ada

I can't hold my head up because of the RSD in my neck... if i am in the car then I have a back and neck (sort of spinal) hard brace/ collar/ splint thing that supports my head and then have special headrests on my wheelchairs that hold my head up straight. If i lean forward then my head flops off or to the side. it REALLY sucks - I hate it. Mine doesn't sweat - but it does change colours and BURN like crazy.....

hope you get some relief from it soon

love
