I am having this procedure done as my Dr thinks this will help the rsd in my hand/arm. He won't do a regular rfa but says pulsed has better results. Anyone have any experience or ever have this done??? I am scared but trying to be hopeful

Don't be scared. I've had a pulsed radio frequency ablation in my lumbar area, not in the stellate ganglion area. It helped for awhile but I need it again. It stuns the nerve in order to interrupt the pain signals. You definitely want sedation for it.
Here's more info on RFA's: http://arizonapain.com/pain-center/p...ency-ablation/ If you have more questions, let me know. Nancy |

RFA is not generally advised for RSD anymore. If you haven't had it done yet, you should go for a second opinion somewhere.
Check out some of the old threads on this board - you can do a search. Please be careful - and the best of luck toyou. XOXOX Sandy |

I had this done and a couple of the doctors I see now think it may be the cause of my RSD spreading to full body. Get a second opinion. I wish you the best of look in manageing your pain.
