I am not sure if anyone has been to this site or this clinic but I will be checking it out. I saw a Youtube video of a young girl who was bitten by a spider and ended up with RSD all over her body and had to go to Germany to be put into a Ketamine coma for 2 weeks but it worked! My RSD is nowhere near as bad as some of the pictures I have seen or stories I have read so I am hoping this will be helpful. I was so excited when I discovered they do this in the US. The clinic is in Florida and they have had dramatic results. I will be checking back, if anyone makes it to this place will you let me know? My right had is getting really bad now, can't use it very well but not giving up!

If I'm not mistaking they do not do ketamine coma treatments in the US. They do short term infusions in the US. However, someone with a military background said on these threads he had a shorter term coma ketamine treatment in Rhode Island and may have been affiliated with the US military. They perform coma treatments in Germany and Mexico.

This clinic in Fla does a 3 day coma treatment I believe. I've read about them but am not sure I'm a good candidate.

Really? I'm thinking that it would be the RSD/CRPS Treatment Center and Research Institute in Tampa? A couple of years ago this institute wanted to and was about to perform ketamine comas but the state of Florida said no. So the institute moved that part of the operation to Monterrey Mexico. http://www.rsdhope.org/Showpage.asp?...2&PGCT_ID=4474

You can request a list of ketamine providers from Jim Broatch of the RSDSA, at RSDSA.org. The RSDSA is an excellent source of information regarding ketamine infusions - there is a search tool in the upper right hand corner.

I've had 32 low dose ketamine infusions for my RSD since April 19, 2010 and I'm doing fairly well. I highly recommend them. Ketamine has a 70-80% success rate (the sooner you start it the higher the rate of success). I started with the 10 day outpatient protocol with Dr. Getson in Marlton, NJ and now I'm closer to home with Dr. Chopra in Pawtucket, RI (who just started to offer them last summer).

Obtaining insurance approval for the treatments can be very difficult and they are very expensive. It is reputed that Dr. Kirkpatrick in Tampa, FL charges about $2,500 a day and doesn't accept any insurance (i.e. - should you be covered, you need to pay him upfront and then file for reimbursement on your own). You'll have to call to confirm that, though.

And in regards to the ketamine comas - my current doctor told me that they are only offered in Mexico and somewhere in S. America right now (Germany is closed). I believe he said that Dr. S and Kirkpatrick are working together to provide patients to both locations.

There was a gentleman that came on here during the summer who claimed to have received a real high dose 2 or 3 day treatment in N.E. somewhere like Jim mentioned (that was extremely effective), but no one ever heard from him again and there's never been any verification of any such program by anyone else.
