Hey all,

So I've found a doc closer to home, but who also seems to be one of the best in the area- from what I hear from a number of local doctors (none of whom are affiliated with his practice, so they are unbiased). & have an appt for Jan 11th.

He's Dr. Thomas Stauss, at Advanced Pain Management. APM is a medical group with offices around WI (he works at a few of them- one just about 20 mins from me). He also teaches pain intervention techniques to UW-Madison residents. His specialties are Anesthesiology, Pain Management, and Pain Medicine. But his reputation is what is most appealing to me.

If anyone has any experience with Dr. Stauss, please share them. (I know WI isn't exactly NY or anything, but figured it's worth a shot).

Thanks!!!

Hey! Dr. Stauss is great. I didn't see him for long-term management, but he placed my spinal cord stimulator in 2012 and I've had a few blocks and an ablation from him. Knows. What. He's. Doing. And cares enough to explain it, too.

If it says anything to his credit, I was referred to him for the SCS by Dr. More-O'Ferrall, who owns the whole Advanced Pain Management system, and also who was on the international council that DEFINED CRPS (the ones who changed it with the updated criteria from RSD).

So yeah. I'd pretty much trust him with my....spinal cord. Loll.

Hey everybody!

I'm currently searching for a good dr/treatment program, in Wisconsin or surrounding area for rsd/crps (Pain management/anesthesiology/neurology). At the moment I'm looking into the Pain management clinic of Froedtert/Medical College of WI (located at their Tosa center), and UW Madison's "Interventional Pain Program".

If anyone has any feedback on these programs, I'd really appreciate your comments. Or if anyone knows of any other great doctors or programs in WI or the surrounding area, or any to avoid, for that matter, by all means, please let me know!

Thanks so much!

Did you get any reply's to your question? I am in the same boat and need to find someone that knows what they are doing.
Tammy
