Default RSD Hope & Possibility Walk NYC 2011

Hi Everyone,

This years walk in being held July10,2011 in NYC - Central Park.

I did this for the first time last year. I went all my myself and it was the most movtivating experience of my life. Even though I thought I was going to pass out after the 5 miles. I could not believe I made it. FYI: I did start to walk the prior April, if I didn't do that I would not have made it. Also, they have a 2.5 mile stop if the 5 miles is to much.

Anyway I thought it might me a nice idea to go together as a group. I don't know if I'm allowed to ask such a thing on this site so I apologize in advance.

If anyone lives in the NY area and plans on going I would welcome any walking partners.

If you have gone before you know it's a huge walk with thousands of people with all kinds of disorders, it's not just a walk for RSD. I got to walk right next to Prince Harry. I got some great pictures of him and I could not believe they just let him run, I was walking, right next to me for quite a while. I didn't even know it was him until the camera's swarmed him, it happened so quick. But it was great. Inspiring, I can't explain how I felt when I was done.

Debbiehub, I hope your going this year? We'll make better plans to meet this year.

You can get the excact details through the RSDA(Jim Broatch's Group).

Hi Debbie,

Hope your feeling better this week!

I did not get the new date, I kind of thought July was late, with the heat. It was so hot last year in early June I was dreading it in July. Thanks for the update. I hope you can make it. Keep me posted.

Red face

Thank you for the update on the dates for the walk. My husband and I are going to try to make it. I hope to meet people from the support group. I'm looking forward to meeting others with similar struggles.
