That would certainly make me think the doc was nuts...but in that case I don't think I would have been as concerned about my condition...lol! I'd only be concerned about finding a new (sane) doctor.

But it is what it is. I'm sure she was just concerned...but I've still never felt so stunned in an appointment by a doctor's reaction. Not that I'm saying she was wrong...it just scared me is all. Seeing a rheumetologist tomorrow...but the neurologist is watching the case closely (I think because the pain doc sent him her recommendation too) and wants the rheumatologist to fax her recommendation to him ASAP. I'm supposed to tell her that at my apointment tomorrow.

I'm just glad I will have someone with me in the appointment tomorrow.

Hi I have a pain doc that I am very happy with right now. I did warn him when he took me as a patient that if there is a possible complication that I will have it. Now he just says "Oh SH--" whenever something new pops up. The good thing is that he always seems to come up with a plan of action and has really advocated for me with WC.

When I went in for my last lidocaine/depomedrol injection. My feet were really giving me a fit. I asked the nurse who was taking my vitals if I could take my socks and boots off in the room I was in or if I should wait. She said it was ok to take of there, but whern I did I thought she was going to faint. She ran out and got the dr. He came back in and said, oh yes that is normal in his own special Jewishy voice. Normal. It is nice to know that black/blue/purple feet and ankles are normal.

I've not seen that nurse there before, nor since, she said she doesn't work often. The other nurse said when he gave me the injection you could see the feet turn pink. Too bad I was out. He's going to do a doplar to see why they are so dark all the time. Except when I have them elevated at head level for more than 3 or more hours.

Where are you in Ill, I might want to see your pain doc?

My original doc for my workcomp just sent me a note saying he wouldn't write me a letter for my denial hearing because he felt releasing my records three times was enough. He released them to me(because I didn't know who I was going to have as a lawyer and I was trying to speed the process up), to my lawyer(who said it was just part of his regular protocol), and to SSDI. I still haven't figured out how to respond, this is my gp. I've been going to him for 16 years.

I'm in the NW suburbs of Chicago. I'm not sure how good she is yet in terms of taking care of the pain...I just know she cares (and this was the first time she saw me). I'll keep you posted if she's any good a helping out with the pain.

Here's hoping that you are in the hospital now and they are trying to figure out what's going on !

I wish. Just heard from the neurologist today and they made me an appointment for April 1st...3 weeks I have to wait to see the doc at Northwestern. I'm assuming that's because that doctor has admitting privledges...but 3 weeks is just unacceptable with the things that are happening to me. So Monday I am calling the neuprologist's office and making an appointment. If there is nothing they can do about the time of the appointment then maybe we can do some tests in the mean time or something.

3 more weeks for whatever this is to cause more damage...I am being totally serious when I say that I have never been this scared before. Trying to stay positive...but it just hurts so darn much...

Hi. I agree it's nuts that you have yet to be seen.

Does the PM doc know how long this is taking? I would leave an URGENT message for her on Monday (any sooner and it could go to a doctor on call) and let her know (1) what's going on and (2) how scared you are. That may move things along.

You haven't mentioned it, so I'm assuming that you haven't been running a fever through all of this. Is that correct?
