Default Letter in Drs. office about drug abuse

I went to see my Dr. today and of course we covered one thing, my mental health. I am dealing with panic attacks and anxiety. This started about a year ago after I had my car wreck in the next town over. Now I have panic attacks when I go there. I couldn't finish my PT due to having to drive there,

We only deal with my mental or physical when I go in because he wants to give his attention to the one thing. I am dealing with some pelvic pain due to going to a wedding this weekend and dancing 3 dances. That's overdoing.

With me we get one thing calmed down and then we have something else. Drives me nuts. As hard as I try to stay well or get well, it doesn't work.

As far as the letter. My old PA is back and he is the best. I read the letter he put up in the office though and it says he will no longer treat pain patients with narcotics due to the influx of drug addiction in our county and it went on to say most all of the Drs. in this county are doing the same. I think I am ok due to going there for 20 years and I am very observant of my meds and trying not to take them unless I have to. Of course, first you have to be able to take them. That's my PCP's running joke. He said today he would love to find an antidepressant I could take but we've been through that too. He did give me Valium and told me only to take it when I am really stressed and see how I do on it before I keep taking it on an on an off basis. I can pretty much say the letter doesn't pertain to me but it just hit me how things are getting on people getting scrips for narcotics. To me this is the sign of the times with people with pain having a harder time getting treated.

It did go on to say that people should go to Pueblo or Colorado Springs to see PM Drs. if the need narcotics. I have seen several in both towns and they are the biggest jokes. They too either won't give narcotics or we have one that will give anything a person wants so he's known in this county for pushing the narcotics past the limit of the norm.

We talk about this due to so many having such a hard time getting the help they need. It's a confusing mix to me and I'm sure to the Drs. who are dealing with patients.

I hope this is understandable.
