Smile I joined our local Wellness Center

I joined our local Wellness Center and I feel better than I have in a long time. My leg still hurts like heck, but I pray through the pain and the rest of my body feels fantastic. I have lost ten pounds and it has made me feel good about myself again. Since my meds have been working so well, my doc wanted me to concentrate on weight loss. There are days that I completely dread it, but they have the best therapy pool and machines that are adapted to my special needs. I started two and a half weeks ago and if anyone on here, has the resources like me, no matter how bad the pain is, you have to keeping moving...you don't have to go overboard and go full force, but any movement and stretching will do a world of good. Plus, I am doing what "I" know I can do instead of a PT pushing me and making me hurt and be in excruciating pain afterward.

For years I have had to stretch because I have Cerebral Palsy and now with the RSD I have to do more...resistance bands are cheap and can help anyone with with arm, leg or even back effected RSD, so if you cannot get to a facility that I use you can buy the band at Walmart or Target and use this routine to help you with flexibility http://exercise.about.com/library/blbandstretch.htm

I can honestly say that without this board, I don't think I would have taken the step to join the Wellness Center. The stories and encouragement have meant the world to me. I consider everyone here as part of my family and I thank you all and continue to pray for each and everyone of you everyday. I say again that I do have the pain, but the good feeling in the rest of my body, sure makes it less distracting. I'll update my progress from time to time and hopefully, it can help someone find a way to do the same.
