Default Achilles Walk in NYC...

Is anyone planning to attend??

An RSD friend and I are planning to drive from RI to do the walk this year. I would love to meet some of you. Gabby, are you going this year? anyone else? It's being held on Sunday the 26th in Central Park.

Xoxox. Sandy,
Sandy,

Yes, I am going. We will definitly walk together if you like. Are you driving down the same day? Last year was my first so I was not farmiliar with what goes on. This year I will get there about 6:30 the walk I believe begins at 8. You can either do the 5 miles, which almost killed me last year, or there's a hop off point at 2.5 miles. I have lost 30lbs since last year and have been in the gym every week so I hope I handle it better and planning to do the 5. It was so motivating, when you see all the people who are so worse off then us and the kids who do it, its unbelievalbe. Its a extremely large crowd many other groups run/walk there had to be 2000 people there. You have to register so this year I will get there early. I live about an hour and 1/2 from Manhattan.

If you don't still have my cell#,pm me and we'lll talk by phone.

I'm so happy to have a fellow RSDer to walk with. Sandy it was a experience I will never forget and really changed how I handle the whole RSD thing. Your going to love it.

I will be sending my web donation page out this weekend. I did it so early last year alot of my family and friends forgot. I did get donations but this year I'm more prepared and will be sending it to everyone.

Can't wait to talk. You made my day. Which is going to be a tough one I have a insurance audit going on today at work, fun, fun. They tell me it's not a big deal and I do everything above board but I have never been through an audit. Looking at everything I do it's kind of nerve racking.

So excited,

gabbycakes

I have saved your messages from when I started my ketamine and you helped me, so yes - I believe I still have your cell number. Unless its changed in the last year and a half?

My friend's aunt lives outside the city in Mt. Kisco, so we are planning to travel the night before and stay there, and then will take the train into the city early on Sunday morning.

It's a date!! Awesome!! I am so glad I am going to meet you!! We plan on doing the 2 miles because my friend Jill has RSD in her feet, and may need assistance to go even that far...

The best of luck with your audit...

Hi Sandy,

That sounds great. I can't wait to meet you also.

Just keep in mind taking the train adds alot of extra walking. Coming from Penn Station then traveling to Central Park either by subway, bus or cab is fine before you start but after you are going to be exhausted. So plan on catching a cab at least going back. On a Sunday it will be no more the $10 or $15 by cab to get back to Penn Station. Last year I drove and parked 2 blocks away but this year I might stay at a friends in Hackensack which is 8 miles from the GW Bridge and take the bus, than a cab to Central Park.

I had to cancel the audit there coming today. It's been a week my 12yr old white shepard got very sick 2 weeks ago and make a long story short we ended up putting her down yesterday, the whole family is distroyed. Also my 20 yr old son was rear ended coming home from working a 16 hour day, he works for a catering company, and just got the news his car of only 4 mths a mini-cooper is totaled. He was taken by ambulence, thank god nothing was broken or seems serious up to this point. The car was fully insured so he'll just go buy another one. The person never stopped just kept going. Every air-bag deployed, did a 360 and hit the left side guard rail. Hat's off to mini-cooper/BMW. I think he would of been more seriously hurt if it was not for those air-bags. Would you belive that little car has 4 air-bags. Sorry I'm rambling.

Looking so forward to that day. Talk to you soon.
