Default Is anyone on Pamelor?

Hi everyone,

My new pain doc recently put me on Pamelor, and I'm curious if anyone else takes this and is it helping you? He did this because my three phase bone scan showed I have Rheumatiod Arthritis. He said this could help with that pain. Anyone else take this?

Debbie

Hi Debbie,

the old arthritis, huh? bummer. Quite a while back I took the same thing (it's nortriptyline)... called something different (brand name)...nah, didn't notice any difference except I had a very, very dry mouth - I was on it for maybe 4 months till my lips fell of - I think you've got to give it a few weeks to feel any benefit; it's used as an antidepressant too, so might cheer you up, if nothing else...

Thanks for asking about the cable thing - they've found other routings for the connections, technically no they haven't mended the cables yet - 6 monster things way out in the ocean off Taiwan; say it'll take till at least end of Feb. But seems fine now!

Take care,
all the best

Default Nortriptyline and pain relief

hi ive been taking Nortriptyline for pain relief. i needed to the dose of 50mg before i felt any benefit. i think on a very low dose it would not have much effect. at last after 15 years i can say good bye to chronic back pain. i was woken up every morning with it.
i recommend it.
