Well my girl is having a major flare and her doc wants to put her on methadone for her pain, rather than oxycodone. I am a little leary considering she is only 18.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Dear Lindsey and Sandy,

I hope today things are looking a little better and Lindsey I hope you are getting some relieve from the pain.

Sandy, As a mom of a 17 yr. old who has a brain tumor, let me explain, it is a pin size tumor that is monitored by MRI. At first we went every 3 mths, then every 6 mths and now we are down to once a year. But I remember when I was told in the ER, she fell at a sporting event and hit her head and it was found just during a routine CT, I felf like I was going to pass out. It's always in the back of mind what if it changes. Her peds-neurosurgeon says due to the fact that she is completely A-symtomatic outside of the tumor/lesion his opinion is she was proabably born with it and will never have any problems with it. But I can relate to how you feel and my heart and prayers are with you. I wish you all the best and many pain free days.
