Default Anyone Else Have Scheuermans Disease?

Hi guys,

Just wondered if anyone else had Scheurman's Disease?

As some of you may know, I have had back ache for quite a while now after collapsing and falling out of bed onto my back.

Had an MRI scan a few weeks ago and finally got the results today and the Orthopaedic told me that I had Scheurman's Disease and a Curvature of the spine like Scoliosis. Was told that Scheurman's is a disease that causes the vertibraes not to fuse properly making several of them herniate at a time.

Unfortunately, there is no treatment for it - treatment is only aimed at reducing pain so its back to Pain Management for me ! Back bracing could help but may also cause other problems.

I've spoken to a few other RSDers and they said that they had the same problem so wondered if anyone else had it and if so, what treatments they had.

My PM Dr is calling my mum on Monday to make an appointment to get some new medications but we are wanting a second opinion also.

Any input would be greatly appreciated
