Noticed your post. One of the major reasons for longer waits to determine disablity is due to the back log in claims and not enough judges. Some states have a bigger backlog resulting in longer waits. I cannot remember the exact site address but there used to be a listing of the wait times in various states. Some states have a shorter wait time than others. You might try googling disablity claims backlogs in various states or something similiar to see what pops up for you state. I also know in some cases due to the backlog some claims are being moved to others states. Hope this helps. Joydee |
