Default Got the c--p scared out of me...

Last night while playing chess on my computer I sneezed then kept coughing which seemed like 20 seconds rapidly without breathing. My lungs felt like they were caving in. Then my whole upper body started shaking and that lasted for at least 2 minutes. My dog was starring at me like I was a stranger. My lungs still ache..... Glad that's over!

Jimbo, that sure sounds scary.

Such an episode can, on rare occassions, even cause a tear in your aorta, so please mention this episode to your doc next visit.

Wow Jinbo...that had to freak you out. I am wondering if RSD can effect your lungs or other orgens?? I have been having new and bizarre pain inside my body as well. Lots of coughing and pain in my sides that I've never had before. Well, I see my PM doc next Friday and I am going to hit him with a truck load of questions. Let us know what your doc says when you ask him about your lungs. And hope you feel better soon brother.Karen

Lit Love and Karen,
Thanks for listening. Just being able to vent and be listened to means a lot. I will for sure mention it to my neurologist.
Karen, let me know what your doc says too.
I wonder just how common all this could be. Today my chest has a slight ache like tired feeling. I also have been noticing that when I talk to someone lately, I run out of breath before I finish my sentences. It doesn't help with all this rain we're having here. My arm and now my leg are aching from that too...

Jimbo, did you read the link I posted? I think it'll answer some of your quesions! If you pulled a muscle/muscles baby the injury to keep it from turning into a new RSD site!

LIT LOVE,
I thank you for the article/link you sent me. I have read it and now I'm thinking that I just might have pulled or torn something.
I'm experiencing a rather strange pain in my lower chest area almost under my lungs sort of. I will for sure mention this to my neurologist next visit. She's going to do an M.R.I. of my cerebral anyway so doing my chest shouldn't be a problem. I'm thinking of even mentioning it to my PT Monday. She documents everything I say or do.
I agree. If there's something wrong and left unattended it could become another area for my RSD to flare.
Again thanks for the valuable info...
