I am in the process of trying to find a Dr. that can make treatment suggestions on orthopedic and neurological/RSD. I have seen two orthopedic Dr. that believe I have lingering ortho problems, but do to being diagnosed with rsd they do not want to suggest another surgery till it is absolutely necessary and are also reserved on recommending any treatment and defer to pain management specialist. I have also seen two neuro dr. that have the same opinion on how to treat rsd and manage my pain do to mechanical/ortho problems. They however do not want to suggest treatment on my ortho problem and believe that the ortho dr are being to overly concerned about my rsd diagnoses.
So my question is does any one no of a dr that can give treatment recommendations on both conditions? Preferably at UCLA, Stanford, or SF medical center. I was referred to a Dr. Goodman at Stanford but he will not work with my insurance company and I do not have the money to pay him. |

Praeger is the one to see at UCLA but he is very pro SCS and rubs many the wrong way. Fmichael has posted recommendations about his doc at USC, and if you search his recent posts you'll find mentions of 1 or 2 Northern Cal docs as well.

If your diagnosis of RSD is correct, surgery is very risky btw. What type of injury, surgery, and post surgical prognosis are you taking about?
