I don't know about the safety of various solvents - only that whatever you mix with DMSO, depending on the size of its molecules, will be absorbed into/through your skin and hence be introduced into your system (cuz that's what DMSO does).

I've using olive oil to dilute the DMSO for weeks no and it works great without irritating my skin. Thank you so much for your advice!

Doc
I have just mixed up some DMSO for a friend... 70% DMSO and 30% Olive Oil.

Unfortunately she has recently been diagnosed with Cauda Equina Syndrome after undergoing spinal surgery on her lower back. She cannot feel the outside of (most of) her left leg, and 'saddle area'.

She suffers from neurological pain, along with loss of sensation (and control) of various body functions.

--> I am therefore trying to find out what the best substance to mix with DMSO would be, for her condition... ? (Aloe Vera, Arnica, etc.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

I have been using DMSO for about 3 mo now. I love it, I get it from Amazon 99% pure clear liquid, I pour it straight in a spray bottle then put a towel on the floor to catch the over spray because my neuropathy is in my toe area and it works great. I used to use cannabis CBD with an effect of 3 1/2hrs at best, now I sleep most of if not all night. It also works on uncle Arthur (arthritis) try it I have that also and it helps me with that.
If you don't know it was found back in 1910z when working with wood pulp, it's a by-product of it and the people working in it that had arthritis found that they were not having the pain associated with arthritis.

Good reminder I've been out of the 99% DMSO and need to buy a new bottle...I like to mix it with some my other stuff for joint issues etc.
