I have RSD and the VA doctors seem to think that the only thing they can do for me is load me up with pain med.s that make it tough for me to function. I am constantly getting a new pain medication every time I am forced to see a new doctor. The VA and there pain management seem to think this is the only way to cope. I have only take the pills when I get really bad and I have to be careful so that I can still wake up for class and so that I can get to work. Any suggestions would be helpful and on how to stop the blisters from forming on my toes and bottoms of my feet.

Hello Nielson,

I left you a detailed Welcome post and a video link on your main New Member Introduction thread.
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread233501.html

Since this page is for photos, I am afraid you might get lost in here. Feel free to post a new thread on the main RSD board and the most members will see you.

Welcome aboard!

These are some of my pictures during a tiny flare-up. This was a while ago. My latest flare-up is now (and I've had some in between), but I don't always take pictures. I mean, what for? It's kind of weird to take pictures of your limbs, right. At least for me it is...

Notice how there's always 2 days in between pictures.

So the 17th, 19th, 21st. This is the way of a flare-up.
My legs never look normal, it varies according to the flare-up too.

I can definitely see your right leg (foot) is swollen and has a color change to it.

Oh my goodness.....I don't have RSD but am so sorry for the people that suffer from this disease.

Your legs are totally different in this picture from the picture on page 20. And I'm shocked at the difference in color on this latest photo.

My prayers are out there for all you RSD'ers.

Well that's different all right.

Get a good physical therapist. Maybe if you exercise a lot, but a lot.

I had atrophied upper legs (thinner than my calves and they are thin). It took more than a year of 1000 leg lifts a day per leg (with a rolled towel underneath my legs, lifting my heel off the bed - basically with locked kneecaps). But I regained most of it. It is do-able and was almost insane in my case, provided you get the best care and you put your shoulders under it.
