Default Hair texture change?

Hi all, I know the topic of hair falling out has come up but I am not sure if hair texture change has come up. I have noticed lately that my hair texture is really weird, almost like horse tail hair. It is soft in some spots and yet clumpy and really dry in others. I do get my hair colored every 4 weeks but it is only the roots and I only use shampoo 2x a week (per hair dresser) but condition it every day, so you would think it would be silky smooth. All of the ends get trimmed up also every 4 weeks. I have tried pretty much every kind of shampoo/conditioner from all natural, salon brands, cheap brands, even my natural coconut oil and the breakage is unreal. I am afraid I will wake up one day bald and it will be the result of this beast.....

Anyone else experience anything like this? Mind you, I used to have very thick, long , naturally curly hair. I started cutting it about 10-12 years ago and about 3 years ago went very short I am in the process of trying to grow some of it back and it doesn't want to cooperate with me and now I am scared that it will never be ok.

Thanks!!

Hello Fellow New Yorker,

I have noticed that my hair has become so dry as well. I also have clumps that come out too. I have tried everything to keep my hair from drying out but to no avail. I can't blow dry my hair because of my the crps has spread to my hand so it doesn't feel as bad. Good thing for naturally curly hair!!!

I too worry about baldness. However, my hair is stil so thick even with the fallout.

sonny

My hair is also very dry and breakage as been horrible. My hair was thick and curly as well and medium length. Now it is extremely short in portions of the front. (esp. on top). I am still loosing hair but since my last block it has slowed. Thank God!
