Hi, I am new here and have had RSD for a year. I hadn't been to the dentist since developing this monster and was curious about what you all do to manage your dental appts to prevent a spread? (Mine does spread and I have it in my feet, and neck
![]() I am desperate for solutions as my dentist is willing to follow recommended protocol for RSD patients but is finding limited info. This makes me so nervous about doing anything for treatment (I have several cavities and need general cleaning, too). 1) What anesthesia does your dentist typically use (sedative pill, twilight sedation gas, local anesthetic injection, general anesthesia, or other)? 2) Is it better to have shorter or longer appts? How long? 3) Do you have a nerve block for your affected limb(s) beforehand to prevent a spread and did this help? 4) How often is best to isit the dentist? 5) Have you ever had your RSD spread to your jaw? If so, how long after the appt? 6) Any other recommendations??? Thank you so much for any advice as I am truly terrified of it spreading any further. ![]() |
