Default Thunderstorms and ime today

I got an ime today at 11 and it is raining with thunderstorms. Crushing pain in both legs and burning in feet. I don't want to go. Think I can call my lawyer and get it rescheduled?

I doubt it...but maybe. On the other hand, if someone can take you then they will get to see you at your worst which wouldn't be such a bad thing. I hope you feel better soon...thunderstorms kick my butt.

Default rescheduling

I agree with Catra. It would be really good for them to see you at your worst. I know it sucks, but...
Stormy weather does the same to me...I'm so sorry you feel this way. Just do what you can. If you go to the IME and they can't touch you...then they can't touch you and that's the end of your IME, unless the are also making you see a psychologist. Good Luck! :Gentle Hugs:

Ok went to my IME. HE TOUCHED THE FOOT! I didn't cry but boy if I wasn't holding on to the chair for dear life. any who. everything went well and he only touched a portion of the foot to check pulses. That was it. I did talk to him about the fact that wc is not covering all my meds and that I haven't been able to see my dr. since jan.

One last thing I talked about was treatments and the tdcs.
Thanks for the replys

I hope the IME can see the pain you are in and his report explains the need for your meds! WC is the worst! I feel if they would've listened to me in the 1st place I wouldn't be in the pain and have the suffering I have today. Good luck!

Thanks Nikki. I appreciate this. I was sitting here thinking how he didn't ask a whole lot of questions. But I should have told him about the bath chair, the walker for a bed cradle, etc. But I forgot.

But thanks!

I hope you got a good IME doc...there really are some out there who are honest and care about patients getting the treatments they need. My first one was like that and if his practice wasn't in FL I would have loved to have him as my treating doctor. Knew it was RSD right off the bat and seemed legitimately angry at some of the things other doctors had said to me in the past.

My last IME doc was AWFUL though and I was so angry when I read his report. When I was there he was all, "There is something seriously wrong with you and you should be in a hospital." Then I get the report and it is filed with things like (mind you...I was in a wheelchair at the time and couldn't walk or stand at all), "Patient some how got up on the exam table when I was out of the room." My mother was with me and he saw me try to get off with her assistance and I actually fell and he had to catch me. He also wrote, "Watched her go out to the car. Could not see her get in because of the way her mother was positioned holding the chair, but mother did not lift her into car." Well...no...of course she didn't...she's not Xena Warrior Princess for goodness sake...she has her own medical issues. Nor did I ever say I needed to be lifted into the car. Getting into the car was a real pain back then and I sort of had to fall out of the wheelchair into the open door and then pull myself in...which he couldn't see and says he couldn't see. But see how they can twist their reports even when they don't SEE or HEAR anything to make them suspicious? They use loaded words in their reports to make it sound favorable for work comp.

BUT...keep in mind that they know this in the courts and often see right through the ridiculous IME reports. My benefits which had been cut off for no reason were reinstated even after that bad IME report...I was just so angry when I actually READ the thing that I wanted to...well...be violent. Do they realize they are messing with people's LIVES here?

But I am hoping against hope that you had a decent one and that the report comes back favorable for you.

I have been waiting since Jan. to go back and see my dr. was told it has to go through quality review board. (which meets once a month) Now I'm schedule for August per their request. I see a dr. in baltimore as well. Not at hopkins but at Mercy.

He really didn't say much. He asked if I was working. I said, NO that the hospital wont let me come back on my rollabout. He asked about the meds, he checked the pulse in my foot. And he stated he saw my pictures and sees that I still get alot of swelling and skin changes. He asked when I saw my dr. last. Explained I've been waiting since Jan. because wc has not approved.

That is about it. I did tell him, I have had good results from my last lsb. toe nails are better and that I am trying to have an stim. trail. If that fails I would like to try TDCS and or Ketamine. (had to tell him about the last lsb. he was looking at the nails.) We will see and I'll let you guys know what he says. But he seemed nice, just quite. The last Dr. looked and acted like a ???? you know.
