I just registered because i was looking for information on rsd which i was told i had rsd about25 years ago and hadn't had any flare ups sense, so I thought. I have had break-outs all these years and have been told i have ringworm and no matter what i have used it always comes back. I think i have tried every script available. Lectures about changing sheets and bathing was done wrong and I have just felt dirty and don't want to go anywhere. And that's not the end of it. I have had several bouts of severe swelling and red leg. swelling so bad I can't walk on it. I was told that it was celulitis. I don't know correct spelling, and was hospitalized for weeks. then i was told it was because [I] am too fat. This is why I call me Scalykaty. Thank you so much, I think I can stop condemning myself. THANK YOU!!!

First I would like to welcome you to the group. It is a shame you had to go through this for so long and the crappy diagnosis they kept giving you.
Are you in pain during flares? Have you gotten a pain dr., and or neurologist? It is great that you have had remission off and on. There is no need to put yourself down many of us have been told that we were making our pain up and that there was nothing wrong, or given the wrong dx. Welp welcome.

I would suggest looking up granuloma anulare. Ihave this skin disease which looks like ringworm. Took two years to diagnosis. My gp thought it was ringworm.... have they scraped it and put it under a Microscope? I cried when I finally got the right diagnosis because I was relieved! Its benign and non infectious... just unsightly!
