Default Any "go to" treatments for major flare ups?

Hi everyone,

Was wondering if anyone has any "go to " treatments (medications, supplelements, other treatments, creams, anything, etc. ) for major flare ups of rsd. I had a recently had a flare up on my shoulder after an intensive one week course playing cello and bass for grad school which I will have to drop because it was just too much for my rsd : (. Thanks, any advice appreciated. My doctor gave me prednisone for a short amount of time but my legs always get so achy after taking it. Does anyone else experience this?
