Post Do you prefer hot or cold weather? (Poll)

Do you feel more comfortable when the weather is really hot or do you like it cold/raining outside?

I'm curious because I heard the cold aggravates crps (i can vouch for that) but I actually prefer the rain and cold because a) I can control the temperature to make me comfortable (indoors) so I don't get all sticky which really stresses me out and b) when it's sunny and I'm in too much pain to get out, I feel bad because everyone else is enjoying the sun

At least when it's raining I can know everyone else is miserable :P

Default Me Too!!

I completely agree! Getting cozy inside is much easier on a cold day than trying to cool off and stop sweating on a hot day! 100% colder weather!

Default in between!

I prefer somewhere in between. If it's just hot and sunny and NOT HUMID, okay. We're had allot of really hot, humid weather and I have been miserable. Too cold is no fun either.

I love the spring ..always did.. thank god the RSD is at its calmest then. temps btwn 62-72 f.. no to low humidity and rain or shine. with a gentle breeze. It also helps that the the rebirth of the plants and trees is like a visual poem that is soooo calming too. then you get those beautiful blooms and the dancing of birds, chipmunks, squirrels and other wild life. the moments to live in with RSD is definitely the spring..... the fall sometimes.. too

For me prior to RSD I loved summer working/playing out doors hot sweaty, But now there are days I avoid going out in direct sunlight and or high heat because it increases my burning sensations I cannot even wash my hand in hot water anymore more because it burns. Cold feels good to me but using Ice or too cold and the rebound Burning is off the charts. So for now I think luke warm cloudy days are best

I've lived in SC my whole life, so I am quite used to heat and humidity to say the least haha.

In regard to RSD, I definitely prefer heat over cold. I can't bear to touch ice, and my circulation isn't so great already due to the RSD, so cold weather makes it worse. Also, my flares are more frequent in cold weather. Even though I enjoy the heat, I have to be careful with the heat though because I don't feel heat all that well (circulation and RSD), and I already had a massive reaction to the heat a few years ago that sent my RSD into overdrive for quite awhile. But yeah, definitely heat over cold! Of course, if the weather is right in between hot and cold (70s or low 80s), I'm quite content as well.

In the 6 months I have had RSD I have learned not to touch anything that came out of the refridgerator, and not to test whether something is hot or cold with my affected hand. If I am outdoors and the temp is 60F or less, I am constantly trying to keep my hand warm, either by wearing a glove or keeping my hand in my pocket, especialy if it is windy !. Being that I live in Alaska, this is very much of the time.

Unfortuantely, this all means that we are going to have to move to a warmer climate.

So, warm and dry is my vote.
