Default Medtronic SCS Issues..

I am new to this site and I'm looking for imformation to see if anyone has has issues with their Medtronic SCS like I have been experiencing.

A little background on how I got to this point; two years ago I broke my ankle after falling over some boxes. In the months that followed I under went several surgeries on my ankle. After the intial trauma, and all the surgeries or "induced traumas" I developed a nasty case of RSD in my leg. After exhausting all the options I had been given to get it under control, I was given the optional for a SCS.

I had the permanent device implanted in June of this year (2012) and the first two weeks after surgery the device worked great. I was getting wonderful relief like I did during the trial and I was thinking I was really out of the woods, ready to get back to life as I knew it two years ago. One day while walking my SCS suddenly surged, and it was so strong and painful I couldn't find my remote fast enough to turn it down! Before I could even find my remote, I shifted to the side and it felt like my unit turned off. This pattern of surging and shutting off continued for a few weeks. After that time, the weeks that followed my unit was on less and less. It got to the point that I'm at now that I feel no stimulation and my unit stays off 99% of the time. I don't know if anyone has had to deal with the reps from Medtronic but they are the most unhelpful and arrogant people I have ever had to deal with (aside from the surgeon who put the unit in). I have met and met with the three different reps, each time going up in the chain of command, each rep has witnessed that my unit shuts off after being on for 5 or 10 minutes but they REFUSE to admit that there's an issue with my unit! They continue to say that my unit it working correctly, even though one of their reports has showed that my unit has only been on 7% of the time! 7% since the time it was implanted..how is that working correctly!? Not only does it shut itself off, but the battery has been extremely painful since surgery. The battery feels like it gets SUPER hot when the unit kicks on and especially when I'm charging. I could only charge for 1.5 hours before the pain from the heal was just unbearable, the battery was also just not holding a charge or registering each time I charge.

Has anyone else had issues similar to these with their device? Medtronic tells me every single time that they have never, ever, encountered issues like I'm explaining. They also assure me that even though this is an electronic device, nothing can be wrong with it..it's perfect. Sorry for such a long post!
