Confused Sympthomes?

Ok this is gonna be a bit long, so sorry in advanced. Ive had RSD for 4yrs now after 2 surgerys. The RSD has been untreated and still is because I cant find a dr that knows what to do. Im already on hefty pain meds to get threw the day. My RSD is in both arms, chest, neck and has spread to the vocal chords recently after a huge flair. I pretty much lost alot after the 2 botched surgerys 4yrs ago, no more working. Well right now my little brother is in the hospital, in the PICU and is very very sick, hes disabled and fragile, so crap happens. Well on saturday I stayed with him and watched him for the whole day so my mom could rest. Later that night i get to be on my way home (i dont drive) and i end up soooooo sick, extreme fatige sets in and my pain just bolts up so high i can hardly take it and its all so bad i have to immedtly come home and go to bed. It is an hour drive, and like on saturday i did have to help the nurse twice with him and help lift him slightly. which i wont do ever again. But this has happend twice now when ive been gone all day like that and then go to go home. And then randomly now im just getting this bone drilling pain that is awful and no amount of meds help that. I get hot and cold non stop, there is no inbetween. My arms go from bright red to purple. Yesterday i had alot of swelling. I am exhausted, im tired of all of this. 22yrs old and for 4 1/2yrs ive been just fighting non stop with my body, it feels like im at a war with itself. 4 1/2 of fighting to try and find help. And then i just have my randome days, i call them my "crash and burn days" to where i feel like my body is just crashing and burning and I just have to sleep all day because i feel terribly sick and the pain is just redicoules.

So i guess my quistion is, is this "normal"? And these sympthomes? And how do i help subside them? Because i will be going back down to the hospital again this weekend, and im already dreading knowing what my body is gonna do, because then it takes me a good 2 days to recover after.

Hello tos8.
I can tell you for most of us "I" find there is no escaping RSD.
But if you know a day is coming and its gonna hurt, prep yourself with levitating the arm, leg what ever infected are above your heart to try and reduce swelling. then I suggest you pack a small travel back with a heating pad, tens unit, and painkillers, and if you are supposed to be on a daily cocktail bring that as well. Drink plenty of water, and pack fruits and decent snacks ?ie fruits ,nuts, raisins..etc at least then you are planning on the pain.what I find is I get so distracted with prepping and expecting the worst that the repricussions arent as bad.. not saying it wont be bad just not as bad as I anticipated. I hope this works out for you , good luck
