We are supposed to get hit hard here too. They are saying either 10 inches of rain or 2 ft of snow! I am really hoping that the meteorologists are wrong as they sometimes are, but it isn't looking good. Best of luck to you with this "Frankenstorm" as they are calling it! I hope that we can all stay safe and come out of this as relatively unharmed as possible. Thoughts and prayers to you and yours, and any prayers sent my way as well would be greatly appreciated!

I think the 10 inches of rain and the 2 ft. of snow are almost equal in my book. However, we had 14 inches of rain a few years ago. In a 3 hour period and it was horrible. Everything in the garages were floating.

Yeah, I am kind of thinking the same. They can both be dangerous and depending on where you live one may be worse than the other. Where I live, the snow would def be of more concern as I live in higher elevation so flooding isn't an issue. But a lot of heavy snow would be. Not to mention, I am just not ready for even ONE snowflake yet, let alone two feet! Lol

Prayers to those of you in Sandy's path!!
Also, thoughts for your health. I know changing weather affects pain!! :grouphug: |
Sandy is near but no hit yet , and already peoples trees are falling and damage is done.. tomorrow is going to be soooooo fun. I really hope I dont have to swim away from here.. so far fire Island is completely evacuated. and there is talks this storm will make it disappear all together.. oooh joy. I just hope my pain levels can ease enough to make me useful in the case of an emergency.
